Plainfield, IL (PRWEB) July 5, 2007 -- Salazar Packaging, Inc., has been selected as the exclusive nationwide provider of packaging, mailing and fulfillment services for Project Save Our Soldiers (PSOS), an Englewood, CO.-based non-profit organization.

Project Save Our Soldiers is raising money for injured American soldiers returning from Afghanistan and Iraq by selling stainless steel wrist bracelets at its www.projectsaveoursoldiers.org Web site. Proceeds from bracelet purchases and tax-deductible donations go to established assistance programs for injured soldiers, including the Disabled American Veterans' Charitable Service Trust.

Salazar Packaging was selected to package and ship the bracelets because of the firm's experience, flexibility and creativity. As a new venture, PSOS had to be prepared for sales in the hundreds or in the millions. They needed a partner that could handle small and large volumes, ramp-up quickly, and provide a variety of packaging and delivery options.

"The application was challenging because of the uncertain quantities, but we were able to develop a flexible, multi-tiered game plan to cover all of the potential volumes that might result," says Salazar Packaging president, Dennis Salazar. "We appreciate the opportunity to work on this project with the people at Project Save Our Soldiers and enjoy knowing that we are playing a crucial role in a cause we personally support. We believe we all owe a debt we can never fully repay to the men and women returning from the war in the Middle East and hope this effort to help them is wildly successful."

Headquartered near Chicago, IL, Salazar Packaging is a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) specializing in the automation of high volume packaging operations. Its product lines include industrial polyethylene, PVC and polypropylene non-shrinkable films, shrinkable polyolefin films, and high-speed equipment to shrink and seal industrial films of all kinds. Salazar Packaging represents leading industry manufacturers, including Bemis Clysar® shrink film, Autobag® automatic bagging systems, and Rennco® vertical bagging equipment.
